Smelt in the microwave
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. To be honest, I was afraid to cook smelt because of its strong smell, but since someone brought so much of it home, I had to do something :) And I was pleasantly surprised by how juicy and delicious it can turn out when cooked in the microwave. Here's the recipe: 1. First, I washed the smelt, cleaned it, and laid it out on a paper towel to dry. 2. Meanwhile, I chopped the herbs. I used parsley, dill, and basil, but of course, you can add any spices you like. 3. The same goes for the sauce—I only had mayonnaise, but you can modify this simple microwave smelt recipe by substituting sour cream, mustard, or ketchup instead. Simply mix the sauce thoroughly with the herbs and seasonings to taste. 4. All that's left is to place the smelt onto a microwave-safe dish, pour the sauce over it, and cook in the microwave on high power for 10–15 minutes, depending on the fish size. That's it! Serve on plates, either as a standalone dish or with a side. I highly recommend this recipe to all lovers of small fish :) Good luck! The dish is ready to be served.
