Mussels in Batter
Description
The appetizer is quick and easy to prepare. A great appetizer is classic battered mussels. They cook very quickly, and you need a deep fryer to make them. You can add milk or mayonnaise to the batter (to taste and as desired). Serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Before putting the seafood into the fryer, blanch it first (no more than 5 minutes).
- 2
Step 2

2. Make the batter the traditional way. The thicker you make it, the thicker the “coat” on each mussel will be.

Step 3

3. Dredge the mussels in flour, then in egg (if you're not making batter). Seafood can be prepared in different ways. This time I decided to make the egg mixture separately and dredge in flour separately (so the coating won't be too thick).

Step 4

4. Deep-fry the mussels until cooked through.

Step 5

5. Serve the mussels in batter as an appetizer on lettuce leaves together with fresh vegetables.
