Meringues with raspberry sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. No wonder meringue translates from French as "kiss." That's exactly the association that comes to mind when this dessert melts on your lips. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Sort the raspberries and remove any debris.
- 2
Step 2

Beat cold egg whites until stiff peaks form in a clean, dry bowl. Start at medium speed, then increase to high. You can add a pinch of salt.
- 3
Step 3

Boil a syrup from water and powdered sugar. Cook for just 1-2 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. It should become thick and sticky. Immediately pour the syrup into the egg whites (the syrup dries quickly) and beat the mixture.
- 4
Step 4

Place the mixture into a piping bag and pipe meringues onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make them the size of a walnut or slightly larger.
- 5
Step 5

Place in a preheated oven at 150 degrees and bake for 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 100-110 degrees and continue baking for another 40-50 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

While the meringues are baking, prepare the sauce. Blend raspberries with sugar in a blender.
- 7
Step 7

Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove the pits. The sauce is ready.
- 8
Step 8

Serve meringues with raspberry sauce.
- 9
Step 9

Done.
