Description
The recipe won't take much time. The classic version uses the nuts and dried fruits listed in the recipe, but over time people have started adding others. I added some chopped pistachios for color. Any high-quality chocolate will work for the candies. If you temper the chocolate beforehand, the candies will have a nice shine. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making the candies. You can slightly toast the nuts in a dry skillet over low heat, and cut the figs into pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Chop the chocolate and melt it over a water bath until smooth. Or, like I do, place the chocolate pieces into a large pastry bag and dip it into hot water. Hold until the chocolate becomes smooth. Line a surface with parchment paper. Then cut off the tip of the pastry bag and make chocolate circles.

Step 3

While the chocolate is still liquid, place nuts and dried fruits on top and press them in slightly. Refrigerate the candies for 20–30 minutes until set.

Step 4

The "Mediants" candies are ready!
