1. How to make a Mexican tortilla? It's quite simple. First, sift the corn flour and mix it with salt. Add baking powder and oil. Mix thoroughly and gradually add water.

2. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead by hand. It should become quite elastic and soft.

3. Now the dough needs to rest a little. Transfer it to a bowl and cover with a towel. Leave for about 15 minutes in a warm place.

4. Let the dough rest for a little while, then divide it into equal parts (8-10 pieces) using a sharp knife.

5. From each piece, first form a ball, then roll it out. The homemade Mexican tortilla should be very thin.

6. Preheat a skillet slightly. There's no need to add oil. Place the flatbread on the skillet and cook over medium heat for about 20-30 seconds, then flip and cook for another 10-20 seconds. That's it, the flatbreads are ready. To prevent them from drying out, wrap them in a towel and place them in the refrigerator. If desired, you can slightly reheat the flatbreads before serving.
