Honey cake with custard cream
Description
The recipe won't take much time. For this cake, you don't need to roll the layers very thin—better to keep them fluffy. You can replace the custard cream with condensed milk or sour cream frosting. This cake is perfect for birthday celebrations, or you can prepare it as a treat for guests.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Place 1 cup of sugar into a saucepan, add honey and 115 grams of butter. Put the saucepan over heat and dissolve the mixture, cooking until it turns caramel-colored.
- 2
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the chicken eggs with baking powder, then slowly pour in the honey mixture in a thin stream. Let it cool, then add the flour and knead the dough.
- 3
Step 3
Divide it into 4 parts. Roll out each part not too thinly, then place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 175-180 degrees for 15 minutes each. Trim each cake layer to the desired shape. Finely grind the remaining trimmings in a food processor.

Step 4
Pour milk into a saucepan. Heat it well, but do not bring to a boil. Add flour to the milk and thoroughly mix with a whisk. Remove the mixture from the heat and keep stirring until a thick mass forms.
- 5
Step 5
In another bowl, combine the butter with a cup of sugar and beat until light in color.
- 6
Step 6
Pour the cooled milk mixture into the whipped butter and beat at low speed. Place the finished cream in the refrigerator.
- 7
Step 7
Place the first cake layer on a plate, spread it with cream, and repeat with the remaining layers. Spread cream on the sides and top, decorate with crumbs, and refrigerate overnight.

Step 8
The next morning, take out the cake and cut it into pieces, then serve.
