Honey grog
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To preserve honey's beneficial properties, mix it into liquid no hotter than 35-40 degrees. But if you prefer your grog scalding hot, add the sweetener directly to the boiling tea—honey won't become carcinogenic, it will simply sweeten the drink. Serve chilled.

Step 3

Scald the lemon with boiling water, slice a quarter of the fruit into rounds and place in a saucepan. Add the other spices. You can additionally include cardamom, bay leaf, and vanilla sugar.

Step 4

Pour the brewed tea into a saucepan. Place the pan on the stove and heat it almost to boiling, then turn off the heat. This is necessary to warm the spices so they release their aroma and flavor into the liquid. Then pour high-quality rum into the hot tea. Do not use cheap alcohol, otherwise it will spoil the entire taste of the drink.

Pour the hot grog into glasses and stir honey into each, after waiting for the drink to cool down to 40 degrees. Serve at the table.
