Honey cake with currants
Description
Delicious pastry for the whole family. A wonderful cake. Knead the dough for the crust using flour, sugar, butter, and yeast dissolved in milk. Let the dough rise slightly, then roll it out and place it onto a baking sheet. Prepare a syrup from butter, sugar, cream, honey, and almonds. Generously brush the dough on the baking sheet with the syrup and let it soak for 20 minutes, then bake until done and cool. Mix the pudding mix with the remaining milk and sugar, add dissolved gelatin, whipped cream, and currants, then stir well. Place the cream mixture into the refrigerator to slightly set and thicken. Cut the crust into two layers. Generously spread one layer with cream, place the second layer on top, and cover with the remaining cream. Sprinkle nuts on top, if desired. Let the cake soak a little, then serve.
