with sour cream cream
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. The most important thing when preparing this cake is to allow enough time for it to chill and soak in the refrigerator. The cake looks and smells extremely appetizing, so you'll be tempted to eat it right after making it. You can substitute the sour cream frosting with buttercream or a soft cheese-based frosting. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Place honey, milk, sugar (0.5 cup), salt, and butter into a saucepan. Melt the mixture over low heat. Add baking soda and whisk the mixture with a whisk, heating until it turns caramel in color.
- 2
Step 2
Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. In another bowl, beat the eggs with a fork and add them to the cooled honey mixture, then mix well.
- 3
Step 3
Sift the flour and gradually add it to the dough, mixing vigorously each time, resulting in a soft and elastic dough.
- 4
Step 4
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for half an hour.
- 5
Step 5
Divide the dough into 12 equal parts. Roll out each piece between two sheets of parchment paper into a thin layer.
- 6
Step 6
Prick each layer with a fork and bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 5 minutes.
- 7
Step 7
Trim each cake layer using a round cutter, set aside the scraps, and crush them into crumbs.
- 8
Step 8
In a mixer bowl, combine sour cream, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla, and beat until fluffy. Chop the nuts with a knife or crush them in a mortar.
- 9
Step 9
Place the cake layer, spread it with cream, sprinkle with chopped nuts, and similarly spread the remaining layers, stacking them on top of each other.
- 10
Step 10
Decorate the cake with crumbs from leftover layers and powdered sugar. Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for several hours, or preferably overnight.
