
Honey cake on a skillet

1. Prepare the dough. Place half of the butter, sugar, and honey into a saucepan, and melt over low heat, stirring constantly, until a smooth liquid forms.

2. Add the beaten eggs and baking soda to the same mixture. To prevent the eggs from curdling, it's better to do this using a double boiler. Once foam appears, remove from heat.

3. Mix in the flour and make a soft dough. Divide it into an even number of pieces.

4. Form a patty from each piece and fry it on both sides in a dry skillet.

5. While the cake layers are cooling, prepare the cream. Place 400 ml of milk over low heat. In a separate bowl, beat the egg with sugar. Dissolve one tablespoon of flour in the remaining cold milk. Pour the egg and sugar mixture and the dissolved flour into the boiling milk. Constantly stirring, cook the cream until thickened. At the end, add the remaining butter, mix well, and remove from heat.

6. Now spread the cake layers with cream, and also coat the entire cake with cream on all sides. Sprinkle with crumbs from the cake layers.
