Honey spread with oranges and lemons
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The citrus spread is especially delicious on toasted bread slices spread with butter. You can easily make it at home in just 20 minutes, and it can be stored for about 2–3 weeks if kept refrigerated. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the citrus fruits under water, then place them in a bowl or on a cutting board and pour boiling water over them for about 1 minute. This will help remove the bitterness from the peel.
- 2
Step 2

Then slice both lemons and oranges together with their peels, removing the seeds. Try to chop them as finely as possible so that the spread becomes pureed after processing in the grinder.
- 3
Step 3

Place all the chopped ingredients into the grinder bowl and puree for 3-5 minutes, or process through a meat grinder using a fine grinding plate.
- 4
Step 4

Then add any variety of floral honey to the bowl, except buckwheat honey, as it has a bitter taste. Mix everything once again at a moderate speed.
- 5
Step 5

Place the prepared citrus spread into a jar or container with a lid and chill for about 30 minutes. After the specified time, it can be served with sweet or plain baked goods.
