Beef Medallions
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Beef medallions are a popular restaurant dish that enjoys great popularity. But if you think it's impossible to prepare them at home, you're mistaken. Today I'll share the recipe with you. Quick, simple, and most importantly, delicious. The finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For the medallions, you can take a tenderloin and cut it across the grain to get two pieces 3 cm thick. Alternatively, you can buy pre-cut meat for medallions, which is available in some supermarkets.

Step 2

Lightly pound each piece of beef with a mallet on both sides, but not too hard—we're not making cutlets after all. Wrap each piece with one or two slices of bacon and secure with kitchen twine. Season both sides with salt and pepper just before placing in the pan.

Step 3

Finely chop the onion and a few garlic cloves. You can press the garlic, but I prefer large pieces.

Step 4

Heat a skillet with a small amount of vegetable oil. A grill pan is ideal. Place the meat on the skillet and cook for 3 minutes without moving it, to form a nice crust.

Step 5

Then flip the meat, add garlic and onion, and fry for another 3 minutes. As soon as the onion and garlic become translucent and slightly golden, sprinkle the meat pieces with brandy (or rum), ignite, and wait until the alcohol burns off.

Step 6

That's it, the beef medallions are ready. They turned out medium rare. If you prefer your medallions more well-done, you can cover the pan with a lid at the end and cook for a few more minutes. But that's a matter of personal preference. Serve the beef medallions with your favorite sauce and definitely with the onions and garlic they were cooked with. It's soooo delicious :)
