Jam in the microwave

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Using a microwave, you can make delicious marmalade from grapefruit peels. Before cooking, remove excess zest to avoid bitterness. Cook the peels twice in the microwave for 25 minutes each time—first in plain water, then with a pinch of salt. Squeeze out excess liquid, cut the peels into strips, and simmer in a syrup made from apple juice and sugar. Constantly stir during cooking, and add lemon acid and cinnamon. When the syrup thickens to a honey-like consistency, remove the grapefruit marmalade pieces with a slotted spoon and lay them on parchment paper to dry. Pour the remaining syrup into a separate jar—it makes an excellent treat on its own, essentially a grapefruit-apple honey. Serve chilled.
