Description

1. The recipe for sea buckthorn jelly can be made using either fresh or frozen berries. First, wash the sea buckthorn, dry it, and place it into a small saucepan or frying pan. 2. Pour in about 200 milliliters of water and bring to a boil. 3. Add sugar to taste (the amount of sugar can be reduced or increased) and reduce the heat to a minimum. 4. Simmer the berries, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes. Add more water if necessary (berries should remain covered with water throughout cooking). 5. Soak gelatin in warm water and let it swell. 6. When the sea buckthorn becomes soft, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. 7. Strain the mixture through a sieve and return the resulting syrup to the heat. 8. Once the syrup comes to a boil, remove it from the heat and add the gelatin. Stir vigorously until the gelatin is completely dissolved. 9. Pour the resulting mixture into a mold or an empty chocolate candy box. 10. Once the sea buckthorn jelly has set, it can be rolled in sugar or coconut flakes. Alternatively, a chocolate glaze would be a perfect topping for this jelly.
