Blackberry jam
Description
Blackberries, like any other berry, make excellent jam—beautiful, vibrant, and very tasty. Most importantly, you know it's made from natural ingredients. This jam has a rich, distinct blackberry flavor. You can prepare it using either fresh or frozen berries, as I did. The recipe is very simple and quick, not counting the setting time, although even that doesn't take long and depends on the size of the molds.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for making blackberry jam.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the blackberries and place them in a saucepan.
- 3
Step 3

Add sugar to taste.
- 4
Step 4

Pour water over the berries with sugar. Bring the mixture in the saucepan to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Strain the berry broth through a colander into another container, and rub the blackberries through a sieve to remove the hard seeds.
- 6
Step 6

Sprinkle the gelatin into a small bowl.
- 7
Step 7

Pour cold boiled water and let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

Heat the blackberry infusion with mashed berries well and add the gelatin. Stir constantly until the gelatin dissolves. Then pour into molds and refrigerate until the marmalade sets.
- 9
Step 9

Remove the set marmalade from the mold and serve.
