
Pickled Green Tomatoes
Description
You can make green tomatoes with or without hot pepper—that part is up to your taste. For everything else, I recommend following the recipe strictly—then the tomatoes will turn out magnificent. 1. Wash the tomatoes and make a shallow cut on one side. Peel the garlic and slice it into thin slices; cut the hot pepper into small pieces. Place a couple of garlic slices and a piece of pepper into each tomato slit.

2. Place a dill umbrella and parsley on the bottom of a sterilized jar, add the tomatoes. Prepare a marinade from water, vinegar, sugar, salt, bay leaf, allspice, and cloves. Pour the marinade over the tomatoes. Seal with sterilized lids and sterilize for about 5 minutes.

3. Seal the jars, cover with a blanket until cooled. Green pickled tomatoes are ready!
