Rinse the mushrooms to remove debris and dirt, then pat dry. Separate into individual mushrooms and trim off the stems.

Transfer the honey mushrooms into boiling water. Bring back to a boil, skim off the foam, and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.

Afterward, drain the mushrooms in a colander and let the excess liquid drain off.

In a sauté pan, combine the sugar, salt, peeled garlic sliced into thin strips, all the spices and seasonings. Pour in the vinegar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 minute until the salt and sugar are completely dissolved.

Pour the marinade over the mushrooms. Bring back to a boil and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
