The finished mushrooms are stored in a cool place—a cellar or basement will do, though the refrigerator is the easiest option.     Clean and wash the butter mushrooms, then boil them in salted boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain the mushrooms in a colander and pour off the water.

    Pour clean water into a saucepan, add salt, allspice, sugar, and a bay leaf. Bring to a boil.

    Add the butter mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.
