Korean-style marinated beans
Description
A simple preservation recipe. Many people are surprised by Korean-style marinated beans. We've gotten used to carrots, but beans are still a novelty. The dish tastes outstanding. And with traditionally pan-fried chicken or meat — you'll lick your fingers! Here's how to marinate beans Korean-style: 1. Rinse the beans, trim the ends, cut into 3-centimeter pieces, and blanch in boiling salted water with a bay leaf for a few minutes (2–3). Then drain in a colander and let cool. 2. Peel the carrots and onion. Cut the carrots into matchsticks and the onion into half-rings. 3. Place the beans, cut carrots, and onion in a bowl. Add garlic passed through a press and mix gently. 4. Pour oil into a saucepan, add vinegar, salt, hot and black pepper, and coriander. Set over medium heat and bring to a boil. As soon as it boils, turn off the heat. 5. Pour the hot marinade over the vegetables and mix thoroughly. Then transfer to a jar, cool to room temperature, seal with a lid, and refrigerate for 12 hours. Done. Store in a cool, dark place.
