Pumpkin and chicken manty
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Manty are very similar to dumplings, but they are cooked in a steamer or a manty cooker, making them juicier. They are eaten whole to prevent the broth inside from spilling out. I prefer chicken manty over the classic version—they're less fatty. And the pumpkin adds a pleasant vegetable note. The dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the filling: finely chop the chicken, pumpkin, and onion, add spices, and mix.
- 2
Step 2

Mix flour, water, and eggs to make a dough, similar to dumpling dough. Add vegetable oil, as well as salt and a little sugar to taste. I'd like to note that you might need less flour—it depends on the flour itself. Roll out the dough and place a teaspoon of filling onto each piece.
- 3
Step 3

Make manty.
- 4
Step 4

Leave a neat hole, but tightly seal the edges so that this hole does not spread open.
- 5
Step 5

Steam for about 30-40 minutes.

Step 6

Here are our juicy and delicious pumpkin and chicken manty, ready to serve. You can serve them with sour cream or mustard.
