Fish manty
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can prepare fish manty at home not only with pink salmon but also with any other fish you have on hand. Depending on the type and fat content of the fish, you may add pork fat to the filling or omit it. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. To prepare the fish filling, wash the fish and remove bones and skin. Cut it into small pieces and pass through a meat grinder. Peel the onion and, if desired, chop or also pass through the meat grinder. Add egg, salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly. If desired, you can also add fish spices and chopped herbs to the mixture.

Step 2

2. The recipe for preparing fish manty differs little from the classic version. It is necessary to knead a stiff dough using water, egg, a pinch of salt, and flour. Knead thoroughly until the dough becomes soft and elastic.

Step 3

3. Roll out the dough quite thinly and cut out circles (you can use cookie cutters or a glass).
- 4
Step 4

4. Place the filling on each circle of dough, quite a lot, but making sure it doesn't get onto the edges.
- 5
Step 5

5. Carefully join the two opposite edges.
- 6
Step 6

6. Then seal them on top.
- 7
Step 7

7. Smooth the edges to achieve the desired shape. However, fish manti can simply be sealed at the top at home by firmly pressing all the edges together.

Step 8

8. Place the mantu on the bottom of the steamer (a bamboo steamer is even better!), previously greased with oil. Cooking time depends on the size, but on average takes about 45-50 minutes.
