Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, combine the egg, water, and vegetable oil. Add 2 tsp of salt and whisk lightly with a whisk or fork.
- 3
Step 3

Add the flour in parts.
- 4
Step 4

The finished dough should be firm and elastic. Gather it into a ball, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the meat, onion, and pumpkin into small cubes—the smaller, the better. Combine all in a deep bowl, add spices and salt to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Mix thoroughly. The filling is ready.
- 7
Step 7

Cut off a piece of dough and roll it into a sausage. Cut the sausage into pieces; the size depends on the desired size of the manty.
- 8
Step 8

Roll each piece in flour on both sides and roll out into a circular shape. Place 1-2 tablespoons of filling in the center.
- 9
Step 9

First pinch the center, then pinch the edges.
- 10
Step 10

Then connect the four corners with each other and pinch the resulting side openings.
- 11
Step 11

Place the ready mantu on the oiled steamer rack. Steam over strong heat for about 45-50 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

Serve the manty hot with your favorite sauce, butter, and fresh herbs.
