Semolina cake with jam
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. Pour semolina into a deep bowl and pour kefir over it. Let it sit for 15–20 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, beat the eggs with sugar. Add baking powder and half of the sifted flour. 3. Once the semolina has swollen, combine both mixtures and mix thoroughly until smooth. Depending on the consistency, add more flour if needed. 4. To prevent the semolina cake with jam from being too dense, avoid making the dough too thick. 5. Grease a baking pan with butter and pour in the batter. Place the pan into a preheated oven for about 20 minutes. This semolina cake recipe also works well in a multicooker. 6. Remove the cake when it's lightly browned and spread jam over the top to taste. If the jam is too runny, you can thicken it slightly with a bit of cornstarch. 7. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Return the pan to the oven and continue baking until fully cooked. After baking, let the cake cool completely, then carefully remove it from the pan and serve. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
