Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. If you're interested, serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

In a glass container with high sides, mix honey and previously warmed water. Add sugar. Add semolina, thoroughly mix everything with a whisk, and let the mixture sit at room temperature for ten minutes to allow the semolina to slightly swell.

Step 2

When ten minutes have passed, pour odorless vegetable oil into the mixture. It can be replaced with margarine or butter melted over a water bath.

Step 3

Sift all the flour and mix it with the baking powder. You can substitute it with baking soda if you don't have baking powder on hand. Add the dry ingredients to the bowl and knead the dough.

Step 4

Take any suitable baking dish. A round one with a hole in the center looks especially nice. This way, the semolina cake bakes quickly and evenly. Sprinkle the pan with semolina and pour the batter into it.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the semolina cake in the oven and bake for about half an hour, until it turns slightly brown. Let the cake cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Decorate as desired.
