on kefir (the most delicious one)
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This is a light, incredibly tender cake that you really can't stop eating :) Two important points—first, the grain should soak slightly in kefir before baking, and second, the butter. Baking with butter turns out much tastier.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Pour kefir into a small bowl, add semolina, mix and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes.
- 2
Step 2
While the grain is swelling, in a separate bowl beat the softened butter with sugar.
- 3
Step 3
While doing so, add the egg.
- 4
Step 4
Place the resulting mixture into the swollen semolina and mix thoroughly.
- 5
Step 5
Add the sifted flour. It is better to add it in small portions.
- 6
Step 6
At the end, add the baking soda and, if desired, a handful of dried fruits or candied fruits.
- 7
Step 7
Grease a heat-resistant baking dish with oil and sprinkle with semolina. Place the dough in it and smooth it out.
- 8
Step 8
Bake the "Mannik" at 180 degrees for 45-60 minutes until golden brown. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
