The recipe won’t take much time. The “mom’s pies” recipe is very simple, consisting of preparing the dough, the filling, and baking. Follow the step‑by‑step recipe, and you can make the filling in many different ways: with apples, cabbage, potatoes, or mushrooms. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Add salt, sugar, and yeast to warm milk, then stir in a tablespoon of vegetable oil or softened butter.

Sift the flour into the milk and knead the dough.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a cloth napkin, let it proof for 2 hours, and during the proofing fold it twice.
