Mom's Pies
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. From the dough made with 1 liter of milk, you can bake 2 fairly large pies.
Instructions

Step 1

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it activate. Whisk the eggs with sugar, then add softened butter at room temperature, followed by the milk. Sift flour into the bowl and knead a soft dough.
- 2
Step 2

Let it rest for 1-1.5 hours; it will double in size. Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out one ball into a flat sheet—mine is in the shape of a heart—and spread the filling on it. You can use any filling to your taste; I used gooseberry jam.

Step 3

From a smaller dough ball, roll out a flat layer and make cuts on it with a knife.
- 4
Step 4

Place on the pie, trim off any excess. Make small strips and arrange them around the edges of the pie. In principle, you can decorate it in any way, let your imagination guide you.
- 5
Step 5

Shape little roses from the dough. Cut out circles, like for dumplings, place them overlapping each other and roll up, then cut into two halves. Decorate the pie with them.

Step 6

Let it rest for 20 minutes, brush with beaten egg, and bake in the oven at 180°C until done.
