
Mom’s Apple Charlotte
Description
For baking I use a 20 cm springform pan. You can use any apples for this recipe. Bookmark the recipe. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Lay out all ingredients on the table before you start cooking. Wash the apples thoroughly under running water.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add all the sugar.

Beat these ingredients with a mixer until the sugar is fully dissolved—the egg mixture should increase greatly in volume. I beat the eggs with sugar for 6 minutes.

Sift the flour into the beaten eggs and add vanilla.

Using a spatula, gently fold in the flour until the batter is smooth and airy.

Remove the cores from the apples, cut them into small slices, and arrange them in the batter. Fold gently with a spatula.

Line the bottom of a springform baking pan with baking parchment and spread the apple batter evenly on top. Bake the apple charlotte in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes.

Cool the finished Charlotte, dust lightly with confectioners’ sugar, and serve.
