Raspberry jam
Description
A simple way to make preserves ahead of time. It is worth noting that raspberry jam, if properly prepared and sealed in jars, can be stored for a couple of years. If you picked raspberries in the forest yourself, don't forget to gather and dry some raspberry twigs as well. Raspberry jam and an infusion made from raspberry branches are among the best remedies for the common cold. As you can see, making jam is quite easy (to the delight of all sweet tooths!). The main thing is to wash everything thoroughly and sterilize it. Store in a cool, dark place.

Step 1

1. Prepare jars for jam and sterilize them with hot steam or boiling water. Do the same with the lids. Rinse the raspberries. Put them in a saucepan, add the pectin and butter (this will keep foam from forming!).

Step 2

2. Place the saucepan with raspberries over high heat. Stir constantly and bring to a boil.

Step 3

3. Add the sugar and stir. The sugar should dissolve and the jam should come to a boil. Let it boil for one minute.

Step 4

4. Turn off the stove, but keep stirring the jam for another 4–5 minutes.

Step 5

5. Pour the finished jam into jars and seal them, then place the closed jars in a water bath for 10 minutes. Leave them on a towel overnight so the jam can cool. Store in a dark, cool place.
