Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you're interested, serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

In a large bowl, combine whole wheat flour with kefir. Add salt, sugar, and dry yeast. Knead the dough; it should turn out fairly sticky. Let it rise for an hour in a warm place.
- 2
Step 2

Divide the resulting dough into six equal pieces. Roll them into balls. To keep the dough from sticking to your hands, simply coat your palms with vegetable oil.
- 3
Step 3

Each bun should be thoroughly coated in cornmeal. If you don't have any, you can use breadcrumbs, which should be ground as finely as possible in a coffee grinder.
- 4
Step 4

Place the buns on a greased baking sheet. Let them rest and rise. The buns should increase in size by at least one and a half times. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for twenty minutes until fully done. Remove the finished buns from the oven, let cool, and cut each one in half.

Step 5

Take a non-stick or silicone muffin tin and grease it with vegetable or butter. Crack one chicken egg into each cup. Bake in the oven at 220 degrees for five minutes.

Step 6

Place an egg and a slice of cheese on each bun half, cover with the top half. Serve at the table.
