Description

Minimal ingredients — excellent result. It is believed that the name "mayonnaise" comes from the French word "moyeu," which translates to "yolk." According to another version, mayonnaise was named after the town of Mahon. Today, additional ingredients are often added to mayonnaise to give it a distinctive flavor: tomato paste, grated cheese, spices, horseradish, onion, garlic, pickles, herbs, olives, and capers. Mayonnaise is frequently mentioned as a dressing in salad recipes. This sauce is also served with meat dishes, fried fish, and shellfish. Meat is often marinated in mayonnaise with spices before baking. Homemade mayonnaise can be stored in the refrigerator for several days. And preparing it is incredibly easy! Beat the egg yolks, gradually add vegetable oil, then mix in salt, pepper, and any desired flavorings. The sauce is ready. Store in the refrigerator and serve with dishes.
