Description

You can use any type of bran for muffins. In my case it was rye bran. With this bran, the muffins vaguely remind you of gingerbread. By the way, you can dice the apples into small pieces and add them to the batter. Choose what you like and treat your loved ones to tasty baked goods. They go well with tea or coffee.

    Prepare the necessary ingredients.

    In a bowl, combine the bran, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix well.

    Add the eggs, vanillin, and sugar. Beat with a mixer.

    Add coarsely chopped nuts, flour, and baking powder.

    Mix well with a mixer. The dough should be thick, sticky, and homogeneous.

    Grease the muffin tins with butter or line them with paper liners. Spoon the batter into the cups, filling each about halfway. Place peeled apple wedges in the centre, on top of the batter.

    Spread the remaining dough over the apples and level it. Place the tin in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30–35 minutes. Allow for how your own oven behaves.

    When the time is up, check whether the muffins are done with a wooden skewer. When you poke them, it should come out dry.

    Transfer the finished muffins to a serving plate. The baked goods can be served warm or completely cooled.
