Description
You definitely have to make these chocolate and pear muffins using this recipe! You can even get the kids involved in baking—they love helping adults in the kitchen, especially when there’s such a tasty filling on hand! The golden-brown baked goods are perfect to take to school, on a trip, or to work. Serve them cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients listed. Choose pears that are not too juicy so the slices do not sink to the bottom during baking. You can use any kind of chocolate: white, milk, semi-sweet, and so on.
- 2
Step 2

Crack the chicken eggs into a deep bowl, add the sugar and salt. If desired, you can add vanilla sugar or citrus flavoring. Beat for 4-5 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Melt the butter, but do not bring it to a boil. Pour it into the whipped mixture. You may substitute the butter with good-quality margarine, but not with spread. Mix everything gently.
- 4
Step 4

Add the wheat flour and baking powder. Fold them into the mixture — you should get a thick batter, like sponge cake batter, but not dense.

Step 5

Line muffin tins with paper liners and pour 2 tablespoons of the prepared batter into each one. Cut the pear into four pieces and cut out the cores with the seeds. Dice the pear into cubes, but not large ones. Dice the chocolate into cubes of the same size. Add a little diced pear and chocolate to each cup.

Step 6

Preheat the oven to 180°C and place the muffin tins inside. Bake for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown. Then remove from the oven and let cool.
