
Onion confiture
Description
A homemade winter preserve. To make the confiture, we'll use honey and sugar, add a spoonful of vinegar and a little white wine — believe me, you'll love the result. This original way of serving confiture will make any meat dish refined and distinctive, so be sure to try this pairing.

Prepare the ingredients.

Peel the onion, rinse and pat dry. Cut the onion into small cubes.

In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil and add the sliced onion. Fry the onion for a few minutes.

Next, add the sugar and wine vinegar to the onions. The vinegar will soften the onions and add a light tang.

Simmer the onions over low heat for 8–10 minutes. After that time, taste and adjust the seasoning. The finished onion confit is ready to serve.
