Onion Rings in Bacon and Breading
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. Everything in this appetizer is very, very tasty and well put together. Bacon-wrapped onion rings are delicious on their own; the bacon fries up nicely, making the onion juicy, and the unusual chip coating gives the appetizer a kick and new, unusual notes. Indeed, this appetizer is worth your attention. If you love Friday get-togethers with friends and beer, then my recipe—serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use any chips—both corn and potato chips will work, with any flavors you like.

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut it into rings 7–8 mm wide. Separate the onion into rings and select the largest ones.
- 3
Step 3

Wrap each onion ring with a strip of bacon.

Step 4

Transfer the chips to a sturdy bag and tie it shut. Using a rolling pin, crush the chips into crumbs—the breading is ready. In a small bowl, beat the egg. Dip each bacon-wrapped onion ring first in the egg, then in the crushed chips.
