1. Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings. Place butter in a large deep skillet and add olive oil. Sauté the onion over low heat for 15–20 minutes, until it begins to turn golden.

2. When the onion turns golden brown, add the sugar.

3. Mix well and fry for another 5 minutes.

4. Pour vinegar and wine into the saucepan and increase the heat so that the alcohol evaporates and the sauce reaches a syrupy consistency. This will take about 3-4 minutes.

5. Add the flour and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Then gradually pour in the broth, stirring constantly, and cook until the desired consistency is reached. Finally, add the jelly and mix well. The onion-wine sauce is ready!
