Onion sauce
Description
To make the onion sauce, you can use regular onions, but I find that red onions make the sauce look more impressive. You'll also need liquid honey, balsamic vinegar, dry red wine, and a beef bouillon cube. By the way, you can simply use broth instead of the cube.
Instructions

Step 1

First, finely chop the onion into small cubes. Heat a frying pan, pour in olive or vegetable oil. Sauté the onion, then add the chopped rosemary, honey, and minced garlic. Mix well.

Step 2

Then add flour and wine to the sauce. Let the wine evaporate, then pour in the vinegar, add the stock cube, and pour in 300 ml of boiling water. Cook the sauce until it reaches a thick consistency.

Step 3

If necessary, you can blend the sauce completely in a blender. Due to the red onion, it has a characteristic reddish color. You can serve the ready onion sauce with mashed potatoes, fried meat, or, for example, with fried liver.
