Salmon with a crispy crust in a pan

20 min4 serv.20 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Of course, you could simply fry the fish in breadcrumbs to get a nice golden crust. But in that case, there's a risk the salmon might turn out dry, and that's not what we want. That's precisely why red fish is fried less often than, say, baked. I suggest an alternative: light frying with a delicious crispy crust. Intrigued? Let's go through it step by step. Serve hot.

    1. First, wash, dry, and chop the herbs, and grate the cheese on a fine grater.

    2. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cheese, herbs, salt, and pepper to taste. Add melted butter and mix well.

    3. Wash the fillet and pat it dry. Season with salt and pepper to taste. I do not recommend adding fish spices, so as not to overpower the salmon flavor.

    4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and add the fillet.

    5. After a couple of minutes, flip and spread a thin layer of mustard.

    6. Sprinkle with the previously prepared breadcrumbs on top.

    7. Fry for a few minutes, then carefully flip and brown on the other side. By the way, the breading can be on one side of the fillet or on both.

    8. Here's the beauty! The fish is not overcooked, and the crust is simply fantastic. Serve it with vegetables, a side dish, or sauce to your liking.
