False chicken drumsticks
Description
The recipe does not take much time. A wonderful hot appetizer for any table—whether for a holiday or everyday dining. Original, attractive, and very tasty!! Serve with greens and sauce.

Step 1

From kefir, baking soda, salt, and flour, knead a soft dough that doesn’t stick to your hands. Run the chicken and onion together through a meat grinder, add salt and pepper, knead and slam the mixture—rolling it into a ball and throwing it against the table—until you have a firm, pliable mass. Roll the dough into a sheet 1 mm thick and cut it into strips 3 cm wide.

Step 2

Roll a piece of minced meat into a little sausage and insert a straw along its full length. Press it gently so the meat holds onto the straw. Then wrap a strip of dough in a spiral around the meat, starting from the middle of the straw—you get mock chicken drumsticks.

Step 3

Shape all the legs in the same way. Pour oil into the pan so the legs are half submerged—about 1–1.5 cm. Fry them on all sides over low heat.

Step 4

This appetizer is equally good hot or cold. I preferred it hot. As for how to serve it, I think everyone can decide for themselves.
