Zucchini boats with apples
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. Zucchini boats can be stuffed with various vegetables and fruits—they are always a tasty and welcome appetizer on the table. This version is one of the most successful in my opinion; apples combined with chicken are simply delightful! Be sure to try it! Good luck. It can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

So, prepare the ingredients — let's get started! Wash the zucchini and apple, peel the onion.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise. With a knife and spoon, scoop out the centers to form boats.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the zucchini flesh, onion, and apple into cubes (it's better to peel the apple and remove the core). In vegetable oil, sauté the onion first until partially cooked, then add the apple and zucchini and sauté for a few more minutes. Season lightly with salt.

Step 4

Cut the chicken fillet into small cubes. This recipe calls for a very small fillet; you can substitute chicken thigh.
- 5
Step 5

In a bowl, combine the chicken breast with the roasted vegetables and Provençal herbs. Add salt and ground black pepper. Mix.
- 6
Step 6

Fill the zucchini boats with the filling and place them in the oven to bake, time — 25-30 minutes, temperature — 200 degrees.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the finished zucchini boats with sauce (mayonnaise + sour cream) and sprinkle with grated cheese. Leave in the oven for another 5–7 minutes. Done! Serve the appetizer hot!
