
Lobio Ukrainian-style
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Bean lovers will surely appreciate this aromatic, hearty, and delicious dish. It's very easy to prepare. I recommend soaking the beans in cold water beforehand. This procedure will significantly speed up the cooking process and greatly reduce the overall preparation time. Add garlic to taste—it will give the dish a slight spiciness. Serve hot.

Prepare the ingredients for preparing Ukrainian-style lobio.

Rinse dry white beans and soak them in cold water for several hours, or preferably overnight.

Then place the swollen beans into a pot and pour water over them. Bring to a boil and skim off the foam.

Cook the beans over medium heat until tender. If there is a lot of water left in the pot, drain it.

While the beans are boiling, grate the carrots and place them in a frying pan.

Finely chop the onion and add it to the carrots.

Pour refined sunflower oil and 50 ml of water into a frying pan. Cover with a lid and simmer the carrots and onions over medium heat until soft.

Add stewed onion with carrots to the pot with boiled beans.

Place the tomato paste, some grated ginger, salt, sugar, and ground black pepper. Mix all the ingredients.

Heat the beans for another 5-6 minutes and turn off the heat. Add minced garlic to the finished dish, but this is optional.
