Prepare the listed ingredients. Keep in mind that the amount of honey added to the dessert can be adjusted according to taste preferences.

Bring the water to a boil and pour it over the flaxseeds, stir and let stand for 3-5 minutes to swell.

Using a grinder, turn the swollen flaxseeds into a uniform, mushy mass.

Add the zest, sesame seeds, and honey to the ground flaxseeds. Process the mixture again in a grinder until smooth.

Place the resulting mixture into a suitable container lined with plastic wrap (for easy removal), and smooth its surface.

Chill the flaxseed halva well by placing it in the refrigerator for 1.5–2 hours. Then remove the finished dessert from the mold and cut it into portion pieces.
