Description
Making dried lemons is not difficult at all—just prepare the fruit, simmer it in syrup, and dry it thoroughly. The result is not only attractive candied lemon slices but also a delicious dessert. Additionally, dried lemons can be used as a decoration for cakes or baked goods. This treat is also beneficial, as lemons contain a high amount of vitamin C.

1. Wash the lemons and cut them into slices or quarters. Mix water with sugar, place over heat, and let the sugar dissolve.

2. Place the lemons into hot water and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Let the lemons cool down. Over the course of 3 days, boil the syrup several times a day and pour it over the lemons.

3. Place the lemons on a baking sheet lined with foil and dry in a preheated 100-degree oven with the door slightly open for 2 hours.
