Instructions

    Step 1

    Step 1

I do it this way: I seal some of the jars, and I simply close a couple with ordinary lids and put them in the refrigerator so they're on hand. Therefore we need, first of all, to sterilize the jars for canning, and just wash the rest thoroughly. Then we wash the lemons themselves and soak them in cold water for half an hour so the bitterness leaves the peel.

Then we wipe the lemons dry and cut them into wedges or rounds, whichever you prefer.

    Step 3

Place the sliced lemons in a bowl and sprinkle with 200 grams of sugar; leave for half an hour so the lemons release their juice.

Now carefully arrange them in the jars together with the sugar and juice. Add one clove bud to each jar and half a cinnamon stick, and pour another 150 grams of sugar into each jar (you should end up with 2 jars in total).

    Step 5

Next, sterilize the jars together with the lemons once more. Cover them with lids and place them in a deep pot; add water so it does not reach the lids, and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Then seal the jars, turn them upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket, and leave until completely cool. When the jars have cooled, move them to a cool place until winter.
