Lemon Butter
Description
This recipe won't take much time. Adding flavorful notes to breakfast, lunch, or dinner is quite easy if you have lemon butter on hand. It works wonderfully for both a sweet breakfast and an ordinary dinner with meat or poultry. Don't limit your culinary imagination.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. For 120 grams of butter, you will need 2-3 small citrus fruits and a little powdered sugar.
- 2
Step 2

Melt good-quality butter in a frying pan or kazan. You can use a microwave by placing the butter in a cup.
- 3
Step 3

Blanch the lemons with boiling water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the zest from each one.
- 4
Step 4

Place the zest in a small bowl or ramekin, add the powdered sugar to the same bowl, and squeeze the juice of 1 lemon. Don't worry—the sweetness won't be noticeable, as the lemon's tartness will balance it out.
- 5
Step 5

Pour the melted butter into a bowl.
- 6
Step 6

Mix everything thoroughly so the oil absorbs the lemon flavor and aroma.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the oil into a jar or food storage container and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours until it solidifies.
- 8
Step 8

When solidified, the butter spreads easily on bread, toast, crackers, and the like. Taste it without adding any other ingredients to get a sense of the appetizer’s flavor. Then you can sprinkle it with seasoning or drizzle it with honey—to your taste. Enjoy!
