Lemon jelly
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Don't you remember your childhood when it comes to jelly? I can tell you. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take a packet of gelatin and, strictly following the instructions, dissolve the gelatin in water in the proportion indicated on the package.
- 2
Step 2

In a saucepan, mix 1 cup of sugar with 3 cups of water, stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, and bring to a boil.
- 3
Step 3

While the gelatin is swelling in cold water, we use a fine grater to remove the peel from the lemon.
- 4
Step 4

Add lemon zest to the sugar syrup in a saucepan and add the gelatin as well. Place over heat and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
- 5
Step 5

Squeeze the lemon juice into a glass, then pour it into a saucepan with the other ingredients.
- 6
Step 6

Strain the contents of the pot through a clean cloth or several layers of cheesecloth.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the jelly into molds and leave for several hours in a cold place.
- 8
Step 8

When the jelly has set, it is ready to serve. To make it easier to remove from the mold, dip the mold into warm water for a few seconds. You can decorate the jelly with lemon slices and mint leaves; even on a festive table, this dessert will look very appetizing.
