Lemon filling
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. To add this lemon filling to a cake or pie, it's best to cook it for 2-3 minutes with cornstarch. After cooling, the dessert will thicken, and you'll be able to spread it over a cake layer or puff pastry for a pie. The finished dessert can be served immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. If the lemons are small, use 2-3 fruits; if large, use 1-2 pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Place the lemons one by one into a deep container and pour boiling water over them, ensuring the peel is completely covered. This will remove the paraffin and the bitter aroma from the peel.
- 3
Step 3

Trim the ends off the citrus fruits and cut them vertically into quarters. Remove the seeds so they don't accidentally get chopped. Slice each quarter into pieces.
- 4
Step 4

Place the sliced lemon in the blender or food processor bowl and add the granulated sugar.
- 5
Step 5

Pulse everything in the blender for at least 4-5 minutes until all the slices are pureed. You can leave small pieces of peel to add texture to the filling.
- 6
Step 6

Place the lemon filling into a bowl or ramekin; it is now ready. You can store it in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks and simply add it to tea, coffee, etc.
