Hibiscus lemonade
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. A fragrant hibiscus beverage with a bright tangy flavor — this is lemonade. It takes only 5–10 minutes to make, but needs to be chilled before serving on a hot summer day. Besides its great taste, this lemonade is also very healthy. When served cold, it helps lower blood pressure and normalize metabolism.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Pour dried hibiscus tea into a pitcher or a 1-liter jar. Choose a sweet variety of tea to avoid having to add too much granulated sugar.
- 3
Step 3

Bring water to a boil in a kettle and pour it into the container with hibiscus. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes, allowing the liquid to absorb the color, flavor, and aroma of the dried rose buds.

Step 4

Add sugar to taste to the warm tea and stir thoroughly. Slice half of a lemon into pieces, and squeeze the juice from the remaining quarter into the container.
- 5
Step 5

Chill the drink in the refrigerator, then add lemon slices and ice cubes when serving. Stir and taste.
- 6
Step 6

Serve the hibiscus lemonade chilled, poured into glasses, cups, or cocktail jars. Optionally, garnish the containers with lemon slices or fresh mint.
