Description
The recipe won't take much time. It's best to serve this drink at a New Year's table. By that time, the drink will have aged well and fully developed its flavor. But if you'd like to taste it earlier, it will be ready for sampling after a month. The drink is ready to serve.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Place the clean currants in a saucepan, pour in water, and set over medium heat. Simmer for 15 minutes after boiling.

Take a bowl. Line the colander with gauze. Strain the currants through the colander. Press with your hand to let the liquid drain well.

Pour the decoction into a saucepan. Add sugar. Place over medium-low heat and heat. After boiling, simmer for 2 minutes. If foam forms, skim it off with a spoon.
