Tandoor flatbreads
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. 1. Mix kefir with warm water and stir well. Add yeast, salt, vegetable oil, and sifted flour. 2. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Note that the dough should be elastic, but not too stiff. 3. Cover the dough with a clean cotton towel and leave in a warm place (for example, on a windowsill above a radiator) for one and a half to two hours. During this time, it should rise and double in volume. Afterward, punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal parts. 4. Roll each part into a ball and place onto a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. 5. Cover the dough rounds with plastic wrap and let them rest for 15 minutes. During this time, they will rise slightly more. 6. Then shape each round: press the center with your fingers, leaving the edges thick. Take a fork and prick the center of each round several times. 7. Brush the rounds with the remaining kefir, lightly sprinkle with sesame seeds, and place into a preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius. Bake for 20–25 minutes. Option.
